✦ Our pledges ✦
Made gently
The shortest list of promises we feel we can actually keep — and how we keep them.
We do not call ourselves eco-friendly. We do not have a certification wall. What we have is a short list of choices we made, and a way to check us against them.
Soy wax, always
We never use paraffin. Our wax is 100% soy — biodegradable, renewable, and clean-burning. It releases no soot and breaks down in soil within weeks if buried.
Phthalate-free fragrance
Our fragrance oils are IFRA-compliant and free of phthalates, parabens, and the common allergens flagged by the EU SCCS. We post the safety sheets on request.
Reusable vessels
Every candle comes in a glass or ceramic vessel meant for a second life. We send a cleaning card with every order — pop the wax out, wash it, use it for a tiny plant or coins.
Plastic-free packaging
Recycled tissue, cotton twine, kraft boxes, and a paper sticker. No plastic, no air pillows, no synthetic ribbon. If you see anything plastic in your order, tell us — it was a mistake.
Slow shipping by default
Standard delivery is dispatched on Fridays. Bundling orders by day cuts our courier emissions by about a third. If you need it faster, choose express at checkout.
Small batches, no overstock
We make 30–60 of any candle in a run, then stop. No clearance sales because there is nothing to clear. Less wax ends up in landfills because we make less wax in the first place.
✦ This past year ✦
A small studio, an honest count.
✦ Still working on ✦
We are not done.
Refills. We are testing a refill program for the people who already own one of our vessels. Send the empty jar back, get the next candle at 20% less. Hoping to launch by year-end.
Local sourcing. About 30% of our raw materials still come from outside India. We are slowly switching where the quality holds up.
Our footprint. We have not measured it yet. We will. It is on the list.
If you have a question about a material, an ingredient, or where something came from — please ask. We will tell you.
